February 8

1926

Yogananda addressed a farewell meeting and appointed Rev. Edward A. Lohman in charge of Cleveland operations. “It is our aim and desire,” Rev. Lohman later wrote, “to carry out Swami’s altruistic ideas in connection with our class work in that we hope to serve our fellow beings and bring to them much of the joy which comes to the soul, once it has learned to live right.”

Yogananda wrote to his disciple Dr. Lewis from the Hotel Pennsylvania in New York City.

1931

Yogananda began series of lectures and classes in Phoenix, Arizona.
