A camera crew filmed a Yogoda Satsanga Society reception, and a reporter wrote an account that would be published in the Tribune.

Yogananda met the great plant scientist Luther Burbank in Santa Rosa, California. He told  Burbank that he would begin publishing a magazine the following month.
